HELP US REACH OTHERS WITH
SUPPORT FOR THEIR ILLNESS AND PAIN

The only reason Rest Ministries is here is because of people like you who have willingly surrendered your illness and your weaknesses over to God to see how He could use them at Rest Ministries™.

Here are some ways that you can help us continue to reach the 1 in 3 people who live with chronic pain. Rest Ministries is ran by Lisa Copen who is a full-time mommy and lives with rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia. Your help is needed and APPRECIATED!

[1] ADD A SIGNATURE FILE TO YOUR EMAILS:

This can share about Rest Ministries. To find out how to add the sig file look in the "help" section of your specific email program. A signature file looks like this:

*****************************************
The world may have given me MS, but God gave me
friends at Rest Ministries
to see me through!. Join me! http://www.restministries.org
*****************************************

We also have the domain name: www.mychronicillness.com and www.helpmyfibro.com if you'd rather use this in your signature file.

[2] Has Rest Ministries blessed you or helped you cope better with your illness?

If you would be available for a media person to contact-- and share your story -- please email us your name, address, phone #, and illness(es) and we will put a note in our database that you are available. That way if a we send out a news release to a secular or Christian paper in your area, you may get a call for a "local slant."

[3] If you are a part of other e-discussion lists or newsgroups, please feel free to share with them about our ministry.

If you receive daily devotionals, you can post them to newsgroups, etc. if a certain one touches you that you think others would enjoy. (Just be sure to include all the "footer" information about the author and copyright info.)

[4] Write your testimony for us to share with others.

[5] Write up a brief review about how Rest Ministries [TM] web site has helped you cope with your illness and post it at the Alexa Search Engine where they request reviews.

[6] Start a HopeKeepers® group in your church! Or if you already have one, please let us know how things are going. We'd love to share "the story" of your group in HopeKeepers® Magazine or even let local media know about you!

[7] Have some of our brochures on hand for members of your church who live with chronic illness. It might be a nice gesture to send one to your pastor with a nice letter from yourself letting him know that we exist and how Rest Ministries has blessed your life. (Pastors love to refer people to us who need 'long-term' support!). Women's ministry leaders and parish nurses are also good connections to make.

michHas Rest Ministries made a difference in your life? If you're willing to speak to media about your experience, email us your name, address, phone # and illness with the subject line "media" and we will know that you're available for comment.

If You Have a Web Site

[a] Share the devotionals by adding an invitation to your website for people to sign up for Rest Ministries [TM] FREE online daily devotionals. Choose a code here for a sign up box for your site.

[b] Post our banner!

Christians with Chronic Illness & Pain Award[3] Apply for our award if your site has information about BOTH your illness and your faith.

[c] Do you have an e-zine or a monthly email you send out to people. We may be willing to exchange "ads." Please send us your website URL and a copy of your most recent "newsletter."

We're open to other ideas too! Please let us know your suggestions!
