getting an autograph from Pluto
Wow, seems like just yesterday I sent off the last
message to you, and here we are again - another
week has flown by! I hope that you have had some
moments of joy.
I had some lows (a new diagnosis, I will share
more later) and then we were off to Disneyland.
To be honest, I was a bit annoyed that the Lord
couldn't have waited to give me bad news until after
our trip. I desired a carefree few days of a get
away where the biggest decision I needed to make
was to ride the monorail or the train. But life
goes on and I was determined to make it a fun trip
for my son.
We spent 3 days trekking around Toon Town, Tomorrowland
and California Adventure. My husband was a good
sport and pushed me in the wheelchair every step
of the way and so it was actually... fun! I wasn't
aching in pain and looking for the nearest bench
all of the time. I have lots to share in future
blogs about some experiences, so stay tuned.
this week are:
- Re-Defining Worship
- Free Online Seminar Back To School Checklist
for Special Needs Kids
- Could You Donate Blood?
Well, here's our Tip of the Week
Be open-minded to taking a second look at your
relationships, your emotions of living with illness
When we live with illness for years it can seem
like we have everything covered and there is nothing
new under the son. But sometimes I am surprised
that I can read an article on a topic I think I
am not struggling with and -boom -- God gives me
a word of advice right when I need it (and didn't
even know I needed it.)
Do any of these topics interest you? These
are some of my "So You Want to" Guides
over at Amazon.
So You Want to
- Be Ready for Hurdles in Your Illness Support
- Get Past the Anger of Living with a Chronic
- Romance Your Husband Despite Your Illness
- Have Your Church Reach Out to the Chronically
And if you have just a second when you are done
reading, don't forget to give them a quick "vote"
because it helps us reach more people!
Well, that's all for now. May you feel God holding
you in the palm of His hand as He promises in Isaiah
49:16: "See, I have engraved you on the palms
of my hands; your walls are ever before me."
