Phasing out the Appeals Council and Introducing the New “Decision Review Board”: A new body called the Decision Review Board will be created to correct the decision errors at all levels of the Social Security Disability process. Claimants who receive unfavorable decisions will be allowed to get another review by the Decision Review Board. However, claimants will be required to submit to the Board, a statement explaining why they disagree with the administrative law judge's opinion. Please continue to lift up all of the volunteers of Rest

My name is Chris Corliss, I have been married to David 19 years. We live in Plymouth, Michigan. I have had fibromyalagia a little over 18 years.

We have two children, our oldest is Dan,18. The fibro began during my 2nd trimester. Our daughter, Ekaterina is 13, she was adopted in 2000 at the age of 7. We also have a one year old Welsh Pembroke Corgi named Wesley, two cats and a guinea pig.

I am a Professional Project Manager, my job can be done most days from my desk in my house. I joined a Gym this last December and have been working out at least 3 days a week (30-40 minutes). I walk the track or ride a recumbent stationary bike, I use the exercise ball or stairs training equipment and take a weekly Yoga class for flexibility. I am happy to say that I have lost 11 pounds and am ever so slightly more flexible these days. The amount and type of pain reliever I am taking have dropped significantly. Although we are having a rainy spate right now so I'm pretty sore today.

Your shopping is earning Rest Ministries $$$
As we mentioned back in December, you are now able to shop at dozens of popular stores through and Rest Ministries earns a portion of the funds. In 1 month so far we've earned over $100! Yay! People have made purchases through stores like,,, and www.bookcloseouts. Before you purchase ANYTHING on the internet see if the store has a link through this mall.

Thank you for your testimonies...

Dear Lisa, I had to get up from my bed and write you before I could go to sleep. I had gone to bed feeling not good as usual, with my hubby home from work sick as well, and knowing that we would not have enough money to meet our bill needs on Friday if he does not work tomorrow. Sinking into a pit, I decided to get out my Mosaic Moments and read only your devotionals. Half way into them I was feeling peaceful and already nodding off to sleep. You know several weeks ago when you ask us for books of comfort that we have read, well I want you to know Mosaic Moments is a comforting book. It makes me feel like I am not alone in my suffering and pain. I hope you will do another one sometime soon, Mosaic Moments 2. I got peace from reading your devotionals, oh yes Lisa, I did! It is a great comfort book. Bless your heart and bless this ministry. Love, K.

Just a note from someone who recieves your devotional everyday. . . I wonder if you sometimes think whether you are reaching anyone? Well, today Christy Brewster really did! I'm sitting here feeling so YUCK and worthless, full of pain and ...well you know the rest. Thank you so much that people out of their distress reach out to others accross the world ( UK) and let God minister to them. May God Bless both you and all your 'writers' mightily, J.

I received the info packet [about starting a hopekeepers group] this weekend. This is an awesome opportunity! I am so thankful that God put this ministry in all of your hearts to start this! I am so glad I am not alone, and that I have a support network to help others in need! T.

Are you organizing a
hopekeepers table
at your ministry fair?

Be sure to check out
the hopekeepers goodies
to help your table shine!

Our ministry is fully supported by the sales of books, t-shirts, and
other resources on our web site AND by the donations of people like you. We know that nearly all of those we serve have financial shortages, but if you are looking for encouragement in books or gifts for friends, etc. we encourage you to purchase from us! Because of your generosity we are able to stay online. And we don't pay any salaries--all the funds "just keep us going!"

Each day in our online daily devotionals we have a question and ask you to TALK BACK! You do and your answers are a great source of encouragement to others who live with chronic illnesses. It's nice to know we are not alone.

What is your favorite part of Spring?

. . .wonderful smells, new growth, birds singing and all the details that God has included in the lines of every flower and leaf. Trisha Lewis, Lincoln, Nebraska, (Fibromyalgia, depression, anxiety
Chronic sleep disorder)

. . . my flower and herb garden. I love the sight and smell of lilacs, and iris blooming. My husband does the heavy work and our grandchildren compete for the opportunity to help clean out the flower beds. During all of that work, the pepperment, basil, and sage get stepped on in places and the wonderful aroma fills the air. The old-fashioned lilac, heavy with blooms, lends its sweet fragrance to the gentle breeze. Cheery sweet voices of children and the birds singing.. I can't think of a better way to spend a spring day. Linda, Millersburg, Pennsylvania, (pernicious anemia, celiac disease and arthritis)

. . . seeing the new life in the nature reserve nearby. We see hundreds of baby ducklings following their moms thru the waterways and the lilypads. We see geese flying in formation, eagles, hawks, cranes, and one of my favorites; 100's of baby turtles sunning themselves on old rotten logs. The world greens up, a breeze blows, and I see all kinds of exciting new life! When we need a break from busy parsonage life, my husband and I pack a lunch and hot tea, bring our birding binoculars, and head to one of the reserves nearby to watch the marshlands or forests come to life. It always renews my spirit, and excites my heart! Sandy Platt, Winslow, Indiana (Fibromyalgia, Sjogren's, Mitral Valve Prolapse, Neuropathy in my feet, Degenerative disc, MPS, and etc. But God is good all the time!)

. . . viewing the beautiful flowering trees and also the other spring flowers that are bursting forth in a beautiful array of colors. The view outside right now is breathtaking! Nancy M. Wilcox, Concord, NC (rheumatoid arthritis)
