Dear friends,

Lisa CopenI am so excited that next week we will kick off our new weekly ezine, hopenotes. I am eager to be in touch with you on a weekly basis and share what is going on with the ministry, how we need prayer, your stories and much more!

This is just a sneak preview of our new "look." I couldn't wait to share 2 wonderful pieces of information with you!

(1) hopekeepers Magazine officially ships out tomorrow from a post office in Florida.

Please cover the entire thing in prayer. We use a magazine publisher who is in charge of shipping it too. We are mailing about 4000 copies out and then 6000 will arrive to my garage (with a fork lift -- literally!) so I am cleaning out a spot. It varies how long it takes for the magazines to arrive. Next week I will give you a link so you can see if you have one on the way. If you are a subscriber, it's definately on it's way. Otherwise, we sent out a couple thousand complimentary issues too.

(2) Nick Vujicic, 25, has a ministry called Life Without Limbs and it is an affilate of Joni and Friends, as we are here at Rest Ministries.

He is an amazing man and founder of Life Without Limbs. The great news is that he will be on 20/20 on ABC Friday night (9 pm Eastern, 10 pm Pacific) --that's tonight if you're reading this on Friday, March 28th.

He says on his web site, "I was born without arms or legs and given no medical reason for this condition. Faced with countless challenges and obstacles, God has given me the strength to surmount what others might call impossible. Along with that, the Lord has placed within me an unquenchable passion to share this same hope and genuine love that I’ve personally experienced with more than two million people all over the globe."

If you can't watch it, try to record it. And if you can record it, do so... even if you watch it! Because you will find it a wonderful episode to share with someone who is going through a tough time, or even your support group.

Regardless of what one may believe, I can't fathom how they could watch this man and the joy he has and not want to know more about the God that gives him his strength and ministry. Be sure to visit his web site too!

Well, that's all for now. I am eager to finish our web site overhaul, our new store, start podcasts, and kick off this ezine. But I just couldn't wait another week to tell you the two things above and ask you to pray for both of them. God has given us stories (our testimonies) and tools (magazines and t.v.) to share the hope we find in him despite the suffering. I see Satan attempting to attack us every day, either through our volunteers pain, or my own family or health. Your prayer really DOES make a difference!

Bless you,

Lisa Copen

You are receiving this email because you signed up for hopenotes, the email newsletter of Rest Ministries which serves the chronically ill. (In case you're confused, it's different than hopekeepers Magazine which we publish and is a real 64-page magazine.) If you want to be removed from receiving this ezine again instructions are below. Thanks!

This is delivered free via e-mail to subscribers every week. We encourage you to distribute this newsletter freely and ask only that you not change its contents.

Is the text too small? This simple trick works on any web site and definately is handy! To read our newsletter in larger print, first click here to get the "web version." Then just simultaneously hit Ctrl and the + sign on your keyboard (So Ctrl, Shift and +). Repeat as necessary to get it to be the right size. To make text smaller, hit the dash or minus sign ["-"] instead of "+". To get back to normal, hit Ctrl plus 0 [zero]. This works in both Firefox and Internet Explorer.
