Hi, Friends,

Every so often something passes over my desk that I think you should know about. This is one of them! The Christian Institute on Disability, a branch of Joni and Friends International Disability ministry, is a new program and they are having a 2008 Foundation Certificate Program for one intensive week July 14-18, 2008. Since this is soon, I didn't want to wait until the next newsletter to annonnce it.

If you have ever wished for some actual education on disability ministry. . . there is good news that it finally now exists. It's a 32-hour certificate program (see flyer below for more information.) Even if you have no interest in personally attending, this may be worth printing out or forwarding to your pastor, church Stephen minister, parish nurse, chaplain, etc.

I also noticed on the flyer some good news! In 2009 they will have a program online! What a great opportunity to learn from others who havea spent years in disability ministry.

Is the text too small? This simple trick works on any web site and definitely is handy! To read our newsletter in larger print, first click here to get the "web version." Then just simultaneously hit Ctrl and the + sign on your keyboard (So Ctrl, Shift and +). Repeat as necessary to get it to be the right size. To make text smaller, hit the dash or minus sign ["-"] instead of "+". To get back to normal, hit Ctrl plus 0 [zero]. This works in both Firefox and Internet Explorer.
