Public Service Announcements Many radio stations will announce free PSAs for worthy causes. Every station accepts them a bit differently; some stations have a web site form where you just paste it in, others want it sent to them via email or mail. If you are able to check your local radio stations, especially those that are Christian (and let them know we are a Christian ministry and II week is part of our annual outreach) it would be really helpful! Where to find a listing of Christian radio stations [please note, we've reached Immaculate Heart Radio, KLOVE, & "The Fish" --multiple stations are part of these and we don't want to send them dozens of requests.] Where to find a listing of secular radio stations The actual PSAs SAMPLE TEMPLATE OF WHAT TO SEND TO THE STATIONS What to do if a station says "YES! TEMPLATE TO SEND TO RADIO STATIONS ABOUT PSAs Just copy what is in the gray area below and add your name at the end. Then send it to the radio stations. If you do not see an area on the web site that specifically says who to send the email to, make your best guess--usually one that is general such as "info@..." or "media@..." You can also FAX it. Click here for the letter on our stationary, just add your name at the bottom. Use the subject line "PSA for September-STATE-CITY, NAME, CALL LETTERS" For example "PSA for September-CA-Arcata KCHP-LP 97.1 FL" This way if you get responses it will be easy to keep track of who is airing them.
