If you're a Christian parent who lives with chronic illness and you have also been "called" to homeschool, you've found a place to call home! We will encourage you, pray with you, motivate you and most of all, help you remember that God knows your limitations and wants you to find rest in the midst of sticky hands and math equations! Over 100 women participate on a daily basis, sharing prayer, ideas, recipes and lots more!
We use the Yahoo Group (sign up in blue box below) to receive devotionals, homeschooling tips, a weekly homeschool links newsletter, Bible Study, etc. To interact with others join in at the Message Boards.

These are the threads that we'd love to tack up to the top of the list in each room so they can continue being helpful. Of course we don't have space for that, so we've created The Attic, where these helpful threads will always be "at the top" of BSHS House. This is a read-only room.
When we are chronically ill there are so many voices telling us to do this or that, take this or that, pray this way or that way and on and on. I have finally come to grips with the FACT that I am ill and may never in this life be well. I have been doing God directed things to feel as good as possible without going "nuts". -Sharon

to God for everyone that is a part of the home-schooling group at Rest
Ministries. It is such a blessing to read the posts on through the e-mail
and the message boards. I have been so uplifted and encouraged since joining
this group. For the first time in my life to be connected with so many
people who struggle daily but so fully trust in Jesus, what an awesome
blessing. You are all confirming that the proof of faith is not the absence
of problems but rather is the steadfast trust in God and his word in the
midst of the problems!!!! You all are so very precious. Thank you and

I have three children James nearly 8 Naomi 5 1/2 and Rachel 3 1/2. I have been homeschooling for nearly 2 years now. About 3 years ago I developed Chronic Fatigue Syndrome I am doing much better , especially over the last 6 months, but thought God had gone mad when he called me to homeschooling and I was so ill. but He has shown me the way and here we are two years down the track. I am looking forward to getting to know you all. -Narelle
